Ooma Desktop Application Overview
The Ooma Desktop app is a one-stop-shop for managing your Ooma Office activity. Designed for professionals who would like the convenience of tapping into their Ooma Office extension directly from their computer, the desktop application makes it easier than ever to conduct business from anywhere.
The desktop app lets you do almost anything you can do with Ooma Office Manager, including:
- Making and receiving phone calls to internal and external numbers
- Two-line calling
- Conferencing two calls together
- Creating, managing, and attending Ooma Meetings
- Adding personal contacts
- Importing contacts and your calendar from external apps like Google and Microsoft
- Using Do Not Disturb to turn off calls and application notifications
- Sending and receiving text messages from your Ooma Office phone number
- Browsing your company directory
- Checking and managing voicemails
- Sending and receiving Virtual Faxes
- Checking your call history
- Updating your account preferences
Most users can download and install the program on their desktop computer at any time to transform their computer into an office telephone.
If you’re an IT admin using the desktop app in an IT deployment, an MSI version is available here. The MSI version doesn’t auto-update, and it requires an IT administrator to manage it on a user’s computer.
