Introduction

Your Linx device allows you to connect an analog phone or fax machine to your Ooma Office account. Decide where you want to locate your phone or fax machine, find the closest power outlet, and you should be up and calling in a few minutes.

NOTE: You’ll want to confirm that your Ooma Office Base Station is online. The system status indicator should be lit blue. If it is not, please refer to your Base Station Quick Installation Guide.

Step 1: Add Linx to Your Account

If your device is labeled Ready to Call, you may skip this step and continue to Step 2.

Otherwise, you will need to add your Linx to your Ooma Office account. Please visit office.ooma.com/add_device and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Connect Your Analog Phone or Fax Machine

Use a standard telephone cord to connect your analog phone orfax machine to the phone jack on the bottom of the Linx device.

Step 3: Plug In Your Linx Device

Plug the Linx in to a power outlet. The system status indicator should blink amber as it searches for a Base Station.

NOTE: If the indicator on the Linx turns blue when the device is plugged in, you may skip the next step because you are now Ready to Call.

Step 4: Pair Your Device

Refer to the instructions in our pairing FAQ to pair your Linx device to your Ooma Base Station. Once the device is paired and assigned to a user, the Linx will light up blue and you will be ready to start making calls.
