A blind transfer sends the caller to the new extension without any interaction between the person transferring the call and the extension receiving the transfer. The way that you will perform a blind transfer depends on the type of phone you are using.

Analog phone

  1. Press [*][1].
  2. Dial the extension number.
  3. Hang up.

IP phone using a programmable button configured with Extension Monitoring

  1. Press the Extension Monitoring button that corresponds to the extension that will receive the call.
  2. Hang up.

Ooma IP phone, no programmable buttons

  1. Press the Transfer key to place the call on hold.
  2. Enter the transfer extension or number.
  3. Press the Transfer key again to complete the transfer.
  4. Hang up.
  1. Press the TRAN button (or Tran softkey) to place the active call on hold.
  2. Enter the extension or number that you wish to transfer to.
  3. Hit the TRAN button or softkey again.
  4. Hang up.

Cisco IP phone

  1. Press the bxfer softkey to place the active call on hold.
  2. Enter the extension or number that you wish to transfer to.
  3. Press the dial softkey.
  4. Hang up.

Ooma DP1 desk phone

  1. Press the TRANSFER button during a call to place the call on hold.
  2. Enter the extension that you wish to transfer to.
  3. Press SELECT.
  4. Hang up.

Mobile app

  1. Press the Transfer button on the active call screen.
  2. Choose a user from the company directory.
  3. Press the Transfer button.
  4. The call will automatically disconnect.

Ooma desptop app

  1. Use the Transfer button to place the active call on hold.
  2. Choose the destination contact or enter the phone number that will receive the transfer.
  3. Select immediate transfer.
  4. The call will automatically disconnect.
