How to perform a blind transfer
A blind transfer sends the caller to the new extension without any interaction between the person transferring the call and the extension receiving the transfer. The way that you will perform a blind transfer depends on the type of phone you are using.
Analog phone
- Press [*][1].
- Dial the extension number.
- Hang up.
IP phone using a programmable button configured with Extension Monitoring
- Press the Extension Monitoring button that corresponds to the extension that will receive the call.
- Hang up.
Ooma IP phone, no programmable buttons
- Press the Transfer key to place the call on hold.
- Enter the transfer extension or number.
- Press the Transfer key again to complete the transfer.
- Hang up.
Yealink IP phone, no programmable buttons
- Press the TRAN button (or Tran softkey) to place the active call on hold.
- Enter the extension or number that you wish to transfer to.
- Hit the TRAN button or softkey again.
- Hang up.
Cisco IP phone
- Press the bxfer softkey to place the active call on hold.
- Enter the extension or number that you wish to transfer to.
- Press the dial softkey.
- Hang up.
Ooma DP1 desk phone
- Press the TRANSFER button during a call to place the call on hold.
- Enter the extension that you wish to transfer to.
- Press SELECT.
- Hang up.
Mobile app
- Press the Transfer button on the active call screen.
- Choose a user from the company directory.
- Press the Transfer button.
- The call will automatically disconnect.
Ooma desptop app
- Use the Transfer button to place the active call on hold.
- Choose the destination contact or enter the phone number that will receive the transfer.
- Select immediate transfer.
- The call will automatically disconnect.
