When you are finished listening to a voicemail message, you may want to either save it or delete it. If you choose to delete a voicemail, it will remain accessible for <#> days under the View menu.

You can perform the following actions on deleted voicemails:

  • Restore as new: Sends the voicemail back to your inbox and marks it as new
  • Restore as heard: Sends the voicemail back to your inbox and marks it as heard
  • View transcript: Shows an automated transcript of the voicemail
  • Download voicemail: Downloads an audio file of deleted voicemail to your computer

You can use a variety of devices to delete a voicemail. The way in which you will do so will vary depending on the device you are using:

From your Ooma Office analog phone

Pick up your phone and dial your own extension number. Follow the voice prompts to listen to a message. You can press 7 at any time the while the message is playing to delete it.

From another Ooma Office phone (any type)

Dial your internal extension number and wait for the call to roll to voicemail. Press [*] and either enter your PIN. Follow the voice prompts to listen to a message. You can press 7 at any time the while the message is playing to delete it.

Press the MESSAGE button. Follow the voice prompts to listen to a message. You can press 7 at any time the while the message is playing to delete it.

From a Cisco IP phone

Press the Voicemail button. Follow the voice prompts to listen to a message. You can press 7 at any time the while the message is playing to delete it.

From the Ooma Mobile app

Log in to the Ooma Office mobile app and tap the Voicemail menu. From there, you can delete messages one at a time or in bulk.

Delete individual messages

Tap the message you’d like to delete, then tap the Delete button.

Long press the first message you’d like to delete. When a checkmark appears beside that message, tap any others you’d like to delete and then press the Trash button.

From Ooma Office Manager

Log in to Ooma Office Manager and navigate to the Voicemail page. From there, you can delete messages one at a time or in bulk.

Locate the message you’d like to delete and click the corresponding trash icon.

There are a few different ways to delete your messages in bulk:

  1. Delete selected messages: Click the more button and choose the Select multiple voicemails option. Click up to 25 voicemails you’d like to delete, then click DELETE.

  2. Delete filtered messages: Use the search and filter functionality to narrow down the messages you’d like to delete. Click the more button and choose the Delete voicemails option to delete all visible messages.

  3. Delete all messages: Click the more button and choose the Delete voicemails option to delete all voicemail messages.

From the Ooma desptop app

Click the Voicemail tab to view your messages. From there, you can delete messages one at a time or in bulk.
