What are Quiet Hours?

Quiet Hours are scheduled times when the your Ooma phone won’t ring. You can even disable outgoing calls to ensure that your home remains distraction free.

How can I turn Quiet Hours on or update my preferences?

You can enable or update Quiet Hours by following these steps:

  1. Log into your My Ooma account and navigate to Quiet Hours under the Preferences tab.
  2. Choose whether you’d prefer to limit Incoming calls only or Incoming and Outgoing calls.
  3. Set up your schedule. You can choose a Simple Schedule where Quiet Hours are the same every day, or you can set up an Advanced Schedule that lets you pick your Quiet Hours for each day of the week.
  4. Save your changes.

How are Quiet Hours different from Do Not Disturb?

There are several ways that Do Not Disturb can be toggled on or off, but it must always be turned on manually.

Quiet Hours are an improved version of Do Not Disturb that you’ve prescheduled. It’ll turn on and off based on the schedule you provide.

Can I make outgoing calls during Quiet Hours?

If your Quiet Hours are set up to limit just incoming calls, then you can call out. If your Quiet Hours are set up to limit incoming and outgoing calls, then you won’t be able to use your phone at all.

What happens to calls that come in during Quiet Hours?

Incoming calls that are diverted because of Quiet Hours are sent to your voicemail.
