How to configure your Wi-Fi access point with Ooma Connect as a backup Internet connection
The Grandstream 7602 access point is compatible with Ooma Connect Internet service. Ooma Connect can be used as either a primary or a backup Internet connection. This article will show you how to integrate Ooma Connect Internet as a backup Internet connection.
Ooma Connect as a backup connection with no router
The diagram below shows the correct network setup to integrate Ooma Connect as a backup Internet connection with no router. Make sure to connect the router or modem from your primary Internet to the WAN/INTERNET port on the Connect Base Station. The Ooma LTE 460 Adapter should connect to the LTE port on the Connect Base Station. The POE port on the access point should connect to the LAN port on the Connect Base Station.
Ooma Connect as a backup connection with a router
The diagram below shows the correct network setup to integrate Ooma Connect as a backup Internet connection with a router. Make sure to connect the router or modem from your primary Internet to your router or switch. The router or switch will then connect to the WAN/INTERNET port on the Connect Base Station. The Ooma LTE 460 Adapter should connect to the LTE port on the Connect Base Station. The POE port on the access point should connect to the LAN port on the Connect Base Station.
