The Website Blacklist allows you to block websites that would otherwise be allowable by Threat Security and Content Filtering. Please note that Content Filtering must be enabled for the Website Blacklist to be available.

How does the Website Blacklist work?

You can add and remove sites from the blacklist at any time in My Ooma by following these instructions:

Adding entries

  1. Log into My Ooma and navigate to Website Blacklist under the Security tab
  2. Click the “+Add to Blacklist” button and enter the website that you wish to block (e.g. “badwebsite.com”). Your changes will be saved as soon as the entry is complete
  3. Press the Enter key to move on to a new line and add another website

Removing entries

  1. Log into My Ooma and navigate to Website Blacklist under the Security tab
  2. Check the box beside the website or websites that you wish to remove from the Website Blacklist
  3. Click the “Delete Selected” button to delete these sites from the blacklist

Can I add multiple entries at one time to the Website Blacklist?

There is no way to copy and paste multiple entries to the blacklist at this time. Entries must be added one at a time on individual lines.

How many entries can the Website Blacklist have?

There is no limit to the number of entries that the Website Blacklist may have.

How long does it take for a website to be blocked by the Website Blacklist?

It takes approximately five minutes for a website that you have added to the Website Blacklist to become blocked.
