How do I subscribe to an Ooma Premium plan?

Home Security Customers

  1. Tap on the Menu button on the upper-left side of the camera page
  2. Tap the Premium Tab
  3. Select your free 30-day trial or a one-year subscription. If you own only one camera, you may choose the $4.99/mo. plan

Business Customers

  1. Tap on the Menu button on the upper-left side of the camera page
  2. Tap the Profile page
  3. Tap Membership
  4. Scroll down to select the Business Secure plan
  5. Choose whether you wish to be billed monthly or annually

What will happen to my recordings if I don’t subscribe?

These are the storage space and time limits for each account type:

  • Free users: Up to 5 GB of video is saved to the cloud for up to seven days
  • Home users: Unlimited video is saved to the cloud for up to 30 days
  • Business users: Unlimited video is saved to the cloud for up to 90 days If you do not subscribe to an Ooma Premium Plan, Ooma Smart Cam saves videos upto 7days for free with a 5GB limit. To get storage upto 30 days, subscribe to our plan which starts at $4.99/month

What happens If I hit the 5 GB limit on the free camera plan?

If you are a free user and you hit the 5 GB limit, your videos will stop saving until you either free up some space or subscribe to a premium plan.

Do I need a premium subscription for alerts and live viewing?

No. You can still receive Motion alerts and notifications when alarms are triggered. You can also view the Live View on demand from your device without a subscription.
