Once you have either an active call and a held call or two held calls, you can conference both calls together. The way that you will do this depends on the type of phone you are using:

Analog phone

Conference the two calls together by dialing [*][3].

Break the calls apart again by pressing [Flash]. One call will remain active and the other will be placed on hold.

Cisco IP phone

If you have one active call and wish to conference a second call in by dialing a new number, follow these instructions:

  1. Press the hold key to place the active call on hold.
  2. Enter the second number that you wish to call and press dial.
  3. When the second party picks up, press the conf softkey to join the calls together.

If you have one active call and one or more held calls, you can conference them together by following these instructions:

  1. Press the join softkey to bring up a list of active calls that are on other lines.
  2. Select the call that you wish to conference in.
  3. Press the join softkey to conference the two calls together.

Break the calls apart by using the up and down buttons to select caller that will be placed on hold, and then pressing the hold key.

Press the Conf softkey to place the active call on hold.

Enter the second number that you wish to call and press Send. When the second party picks up, press the Conf softkey again to join the calls together.

Break the calls apart by using the up and down buttons to select the call that will be placed on hold, and then pressing the Hold softkey.
