The first thing that you will want to do when your Ooma Office Base Station is set up and running is to verify that you can make and receive phone calls. To get started, follow the instructions below:

Dialing out

You can make an external call by picking up your phone and dialing the outbound number as you normally would. You do not need to dial “9” or any other special code to make an external phone call.

Receiving incoming calls

You can answer a call by picking up the phone when it rings. To verify this, use your cell phone or ask a friend or colleague to dial the number that you selected when you activated your device.

If the Virtual Receptionist answers the call, dial your phone’s extension number when you start to hear the welcome greeting.
